Tropicana Field, home of the Tampa Bay Rays damaged by Hurricane Milton, has come out with a "damage estimate."먹튀검증

Local media, including the Tampa Bay Times and AP, introduced the extent of the damage to the stadium on the 13th (Korea Standard Time), citing a report from the St. Petersburg municipal government, the owner of Tropicana Field.

On the same day, the city of St. Petersburg published a 412-page report based on its investigation work.

According to the report, the cost of repairing Tropicana Field is set at 55.7 million dollars (78.425.6 billion won). It is expected to be able to use it again for the opening game of the 2026 season.

The damage is not as serious as feared. "The main structure is sufficient to withstand the roof tents that will be replaced," the city report said. "The basic framework of the stadium has not been seriously damaged, so it can be used as it is."

Still, it is a hefty sum of money. The Associated Press reported that the city of St. Petersburg insured itself against damage to the stadium, but this is not enough. Taxes will have to pay for the remainder.

St. Petersburg City Council will discuss future countermeasures based on the report on the 21st local time.

Tropicana Field was originally scheduled to be demolished after handing over its role to a new stadium to be built on a site near the stadium after use until 2027.

However, the hurricane caused considerable damage to the entire Tampa area, raising the possibility of disrupting the stadium's construction plans.

Councilman Brandi Gabbard told the council last week, "We have a lot of needs across the city right now. I love the Rays, I love Tropicana Field. I'm not saying I don't want to. I mean we need to balance our top priorities now."

Tampa Bay now has to find a temporary home ground to play in the 2025 season. Commissioner Rob Manfred said earlier that the Rays would solve the problem before Christmas.

Tropicana Field, completed in 1990, has been the home of the Tampa Bay Rays since 1998. Hurricane Milton, which hit the Tampa area on Oct. 9 local time, tore the roof of the stadium.
